Wendy

Wendy is a senior Occupational Therapist (OT), Sensory Integration Practitioner and DBT therapist. Wendy has over 20 years of experience, working both in the NHS and privately as an OT and clinical supervisor.

Wendy has extensive experience of working with children, young people and adults and is committed to supporting individuals of all ages to maximise their functioning and live a meaningful life, both in the presence and absence of mental health difficulties.

Her work focuses on supporting people to set personal goals to improve their ability to carry out their chosen occupations, in the areas of employment, personal care, social skills and leisure pursuits. Wendy can also support people in their applications for PIP and blue badges.

As well as supporting individuals Wendy has extensive experience in working with schools and other agencies. Following a comprehensive assessment and consultation she will provide recommendations to support effective change.

As a highly specialised Sensory Integration Practitioner Wendy helps individuals to manage difficulties they may have with processing sensory information.. Sensory Integration therapy is extremely beneficial for individuals with Autistic Spectrum Conditions who often experience difficulties with their sensory processing.

Wendy brings her, warmth, creativity and expertise to Evolve Practice, providing OT and sensory integration assessments and individualised plans for both children, young people and adults.

In addition to working with Evolve practice, Wendy continues to work as an Advanced Occupational Therapist in Child and Adolescent Mental Health services in the NHS.
