CBT

CBT (Cognitive Behavioural Therapy) is a talking psychological therapy, based on the idea that thoughts, feelings, what we do (behaviours), and how our bodies feel (physical sensations) are all connected. If we change one of these there will be an impact on all the others.

CBT is a collaborative therapy and you will work with your therapist to reach desired outcomes (goals). As you do this you will notice and change problematic thinking styles and behavioural patterns so that you can feel better.

CBT is an evidenced based therapy recommended by National Institute of Clinical Excellence (NICE) guidelines.

CBT works for lots of different people with different problems, including; Anxiety disorders, Depression, PTSD, OCD, Psychosis, Bipolar. There is also evidence that CBT can help people with a range of physical health conditions including, Menopause, Chronic Fatigue, Fibromyalgia, Irritable Bowl Syndrome and Chronic Pain.
