Carolyn

Carolyn has twenty years of Counselling and Psychotherapy experience in various settings including Education, private practice and the NHS. Her early career started in school counselling, working with adults, children and young people in Inner London Primary and Secondary Schools. Other roles included teacher, safeguarding lead and child protection officer in this setting. She also provided counselling for charities in London linked to the Secondary Mental Health Rehabilitation Services. Carolyn currently works in the NHS as an EMDR therapist and supervisor, focusing on PTSD and Complex PTSD. Her private work includes psychotherapeutic interventions for a number of presentations as well as trauma rehabilitation with individuals and supervision of groups and individuals.  Carolyn has notably had substantial experience working with emergency service workers and has been involved in training various constabularies and government organisations around the country in preventative trauma interventions.  Carolyn is a BACP-accredited psychotherapist and an EMDR-accredited Consultant.

Carolyn brings a wealth of experience as an integrative practitioner which serves to adapt the approach to the individual she will be working with. She is collaborative in her therapy approach and provides a nonjudgmental, safe experience for her clients to explore and navigate through any distress they may bring.
